Ingredients
  

  • 1 pack Knafeh Dough (Kunafa dough or phyllo sheets)
  • 1 cup Crushed Pistachios
  • 200 grams Melted Chocolate (dark, milk, or white)
  • 1/2 cup Sugar Syrup
  • 1 tbsp Rosewater optional
  • 2 tbsp Gold-dusted Chocolate optional
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Dates or Figs
  • 1/2 cup Cheese Filling

Instructions
 

  • If using Kunafa dough, shred it finely. Layer it in a baking dish, brushing each layer with melted butter until it’s well-covered.

  • In a microwave or double boiler, melt your chocolate of choice (dark, milk, or white). Stir it to ensure smoothness.

  • Spread a layer of the crispy Knafeh dough in the bottom of your baking pan.
  • Add a generous layer of melted chocolate on top of the dough.
  • Sprinkle crushed pistachios over the chocolate, and optionally add a layer of cheese filling or chopped dates for extra flavor.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the assembled dessert in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
